Gear We Use

Clothing:

prAna Men’s Brion Pant
Great fitting pants that you can wear to the office and on the trail. In my experience they do not stink after days of wear. Comfortable and stylish, they make great travel pants as well.

BALEAF Men’s UPF 50+ Sun Protection Hoodie
This is my go to sun shirt for when I want a hood. I wore this for summer deer scouting as well an October Coues Deer Hunt. It has been durable and great for Keeping the Scorching Arizona sun off me.

Poncho Outdoors – The Gunnison
I am not affiliated with Poncho Outdoors in any way other then being a lover of their shirt. This thing is amazing for anything from work to fishing to hiking. It has great flex, a ton of great built in features, and looks great anywhere. Highly recommend you try one out yourself.

Cook Kit:

Primus Essential Trail Stove
Great budget stove. A bit heavy for backpacking but it is great for cooking backcountry meals. It can almost simmer, helping avoid burning food to your pot.

Stanley Base Camp Cook Set
For car camping or paddling, the Stanley set is perfect for up to 2. It even comes with spoons and plates. When weight isn’t a consideration, this set is perfect.

GSI Outdoors Infinity Backpacker Mug
Lightweight, easy to use, and an actual mug. This mug is at home backpacking, car camping, and paddling. It keeps beverages hot (or cold) and with the lid, is perfect for mixing drinks in the evening. The only negative is the size since it doesn’t collapse. It also has measurement cups on the inside!

Shelter

Therm-a-Rest Z Lite Original
For the money a foam mat is hard to beat. You cannot pop it and it won’t go flat in the middle of the night. Not as comfortable and small as an inflatable. Great to layer under an inflatable.

Big Agnes Fly Creek Tent
Lightweight, this tent takes pounds off your back

Marchway Ultralight Folding Camping Chair
I normally try to buy name brand or quality camping gear but this Marchway chair is extremely similar to my REI Flexlite Chair. After reading reviews on the newer Flexlite Chair, I decided to try out the cheaper option and I am impressed. It is slightly heavier then the Flextlite but is larger as well.

Fishing

Pflueger President Spinning Fishing Reel –
This is my favorite reel for fishing. I currently have 3 of them set up with line weights between 4-8 pounds. They are smooth reels and cast very well.

Ugly Stik Elite Spinning Fishing Rod –
One of my favorite spinning rods. There is a reason so many people like the Ugly Stik rods- they are quality rods for the price you pay. I prefer cork handles and the Ugly Stik Elite has a cork handle instead of the normal foam on the regular Ugly Stik.

Plusinno Folding Fishing Net –
A great net for the price. Folds up small to fit in a backpack for day and multi day trips. For the price this is a hard net to beat and beats out other nets in the $20 dollar price class.
